CR Kids™ comes from Angela R. Strong: founder of Calibrated Resilience®, resilience expert, and someone who navigates ADHD, anxiety, and PTSD herself. She didn’t design a tool for neurodivergent kids from the outside. She built it from the inside.
Her story
Angela served 27 years across the U.S. Army Reserve and U.S. Coast Guard. Alongside that career, she has navigated ADHD, anxiety, PTSD, and depression, and come through personal adversity that began in childhood.
Out of that lived experience she built Calibrated Resilience, a methodology and practice for personalized resilience and mental health. She is a resilience expert, a speaker on mental health destigmatization and veteran support, and the author of 12 books including Empowered Edge, Calibrated Resilience, Man Enough, and Calibrated Kids Character Stories.
CR Kids extends that work to children. The premise is simple and personal: every child deserves to learn in a way that honors how their mind works, and the person building it understands firsthand what that means.
Why CR Kids exists
Most K-5 learning tools are built for neurotypical learners and adjusted for everyone else. The roughly one in five children with a neurodivergent learning profile deserve better than a retrofit. CR Kids is built neurodivergent-first by design, which turns out to make it work better for every child.
